I gave SliTaz a try and it went okay for the most part, except the 
'slitaz-4.0-justx.iso' has a weird issue and the base version uses only 
~8MB of RAM; however, even the version of 'Links' I was able to install 
with 'tazpkg' gave SSL errors. The kernel is also 2.x just like with 
Slacko Pup 5.3.1.

I gave TinyCore another try and it was just as difficult and weird to
work with in regards to remastering, or lack thereof, as I remember from
last time. Also, GIMP gave a segmentation fault so I can't really use it
anyway; I will not have a GNU/Linux distribution without a working GIMP.
