######################################################################### # 2020/08/31 - PsychOS486 1.4.6 - 32MB of RAM minimum and WACOM failure # ######################################################################### Lots of little things have been done to PsychOS486 over the past month, but mostly cosmetic and trying to make it as user-friendly as possible. It now has both JWM and XFCE as desktop environment options in which the user chooses while in the command-line to save RAM; if you don't have the RAM or CPU to handle a GUI desktop, you can still do stuff in the console, to which may include a "dumbed-down" version of CLIMax. The minimum RAM recommendation so far seems to be 32MB for console and 64MB for GUI but 128MB would be best. At the moment, PsychOS486 does not like my WACOM tablet (doesn't work). I need to check with the actual Slacko Pup it is based on to see of it's something I did. [A little later...] I tried to get my WACOM drawing tablet to work with PsychOS486 and the closest it will get is mouse-like behavior with no proximity movement; in other words, you have to hold the pen down on the tablet the whole time to move the cursor. However, the "borkability" of all of this is just too high to continue and PsychOS486 will probably not have WACOM support out-of-the-box at all.
