####################################################### # 2020/10/02 - PsychOS486 1.5.6 - Modprobe.dep issues # ####################################################### Both of the 1.5.5 and 1.5.6 builds of PsychOS486 have modprobe.dep errors like: modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.37.6/modules.dep: No such file or directory. At first, with 1.5.5, I thought it was all of the firmware I installed, but it did it again in 1.5.6 and so, the only common denominator I can think of is low RAM causing system "hiccups" during the build process. I may have to start building PsychOS486 ISO's on another computer. Remember, PsychOS486 is currently based off of Slacko Puppy 5.3.1 and it does not allow you to build ISO's from an installed system, only a Live version. I will say this though, not having a bunch of kernel modules initiating at boot cuts the time tremendously and at the end, you have a system that only uses around 5-8MB of RAM, you just cannot start X or have a framebuffer ("/dev/fb0"); no Internet either. Other than that, I've also been working on some scripts for "/opt/psychos486tools" and presetting a few more programs here and there to help people save some time.
