In other words, things like changing color schemes and file-paths via a CFG file or an in-menu item. However, if a program was altered from source and compiled, I will tell you. ALARM ----- The original program was in German but had source code supplied; so, I changed it as best as I could to English, altering nothing else. BOOM ---- I have included copies of FreeDOOM 1 and 2, as well as added a GMENU- related directory so people can add their own WADs to be launched from PsychDOS's programs menu. Canvas ------ I added extra color palettes. DOS Navigator ------------- The default color palette was altered and saved as "PSYCHDOS.PAL" and the color scheme was changed as well. EDITV ----- The color scheme has been changed, similarly to DOS Navigator. File Maven ---------- The color theme was changed to "Dark." FlView ------ The directory "C:\PSYCHDOS\HOME\PICTURES" was added to FlView's favorites in the file browser. GMENU ----- All .DAT files related to GMENU have been customized in some way for use with PsychDOS's programs menu. GrafX2 ------ I added extra color palettes. KGEN98 ------ The configuration to auto-detect the region of the game was turned on because this is not the default behavior for some reason. KiGB ---- The theme was changed to the ugly "Win95" version because if DOSEMU on PsychOS486 via QEMU's -cpu 486 handles it better than "Ocean," than it stands to reason that this might not be a bad idea. Links ----- File extension handling has been edited to support more formats. I also told it how to handle things like E-Mail, Telnet and TN3270. Mpxplay ------- I didn't really do much but add a bunch of DLL's for extra format support and made sure that the directory it first opens is at "C:\PSYCHDOS\HOME\MUSIC". NANO ---- All I did in regards to this is add a batch file called NANO.BAT to "PROGRAMS\SYSTEM\BIN" so that when ran from the shell without specifying the "EXE" extension on then end, it will run the batch file version instead, giving you "NANO.EXE -c -i -r 72" in which will constantly show you the cursor position and other stats, auto-indent, and go to the next line for you at column 72. This is also the default for "CONFIG\EDIT\DEFDOC.CFG", which controls the Workbench's default text editor for plain-text documents and unknown file-extensions. NESticle -------- I changed the default keys to use "Z" and "X" as "B" and "A". I also changed the default directories for things like save states and screenshots. Poster ------ The VIEWERS.LST and FORMATS.LST files were edited and then moved outside in waiting for the poster12.zip file to be expanded but set not to replace any existing files. Poster is licensed in a way to be redistributable as long as it is kept in its original form and it is the user themselves that does the installation process by running the RUNME.BAT script when the Poster menu item is clicked from the Programs menu. RUNME.BAT --------- PsychDOS relies on "RUNME.BAT" files with several programs in order to change directories, set environment variables, and etc. SLSC ---- The slsc.rc file was edited so that the colors match closer to those of what I did for DOS Navigator or EDITV; however, the color palette itself is still that of the classic 16-colors and so it is not a perfect match. Sound Club for DOS ------------------ I included some extra instruments, as well as instructions to use SCLUB to help create music for GB Studio (Game Boy creation software). This is one of those pieces of software that allows redistribution as long as it is in its original form, and so these extras are in folders outside of the sclup.zip file but is expanded to the save directory as the extra directories when the user chooses to install SCLUB from PsychDOS's Programs menu. ZNES ---- The snow animation was switched off, the background color was changed to black, and the mouse shadow was switched off. I did these things to so that older hardware will hopefully have an easier time, though I am not sure if it will actually help or not as it. As for newer hardware, the sound was turned off so as to not crash ZSNES. If you have an actual sound card that ZNES for DOS supports, you can turn it back on in its menu.
