########################################################################### # 2019/01/18 - PsychOS 3.1.2 - GRUB naming, vrms, and animated background # ########################################################################### It appears as though I may need to edit both os-release and "/usr/share/grub/default/grub". Nevermind; didn't work. Trying "/etc/lsb-release". ... Nope... Editing the "/etc/default/grub" and "/usr/share/grub/default/grub" did the trick. Instead of using "lsb_release," I replaced the GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="..." with "PsychOS..." Now, I need to replace "/usr/share/desktop-base/grub-themes/devuan/icons/gnu-linux.png" with a PsychOS version or figure out how it came to the conclusion to use that icon in the first place. It would probably just be easier to replace it. Found a really cool package called called 'vrms' (virtual Richard M. Stallman) for checking non-free packages installed. I amy make a notification tester using notify-send, yad, zenity, xmessage, dialog I figured out a way to have an animated background using 'mpv' and 'xwinwrap'
